This Privacy Policy explains how Placely ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use our mobile application and services.

1. Information We Collect

• Account Information: Name, email address, profile picture (provided during registration via Google/Apple).
• Location Data: Precise or approximate location (only with your explicit permission) to display nearby events on the interactive map.
• User-Generated Content (UGC): Event details you create, chat messages, and uploaded photos.
• Technical Data: IP address, device type, OS version, and crash logs for app stability.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data to provide the Placely service, power the interactive map, facilitate the "Face Control" feature (allowing organizers to review participant requests), and ensure community safety.

3. Information Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with trusted service providers necessary to operate the app (e.g., Google Cloud, Firebase for database hosting and authentication).

4. Account and Data Deletion

You have the right to delete your account and all associated personal data at any time. You can do this by navigating to Settings -> Account -> Delete Account within the app, or by emailing us at the address below.

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Placely is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.

6. Notice to California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the right to request access to their data, request deletion, and opt-out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. Placely does not sell your personal information. To exercise your rights, please contact us.

7. Notice to Users in Mainland China (PIPL)

If you are accessing Placely from the People's Republic of China, please note that your data may be processed and stored on servers located outside of China (e.g., in the US or Europe via Google Cloud). By using the app, you explicitly consent to this cross-border transfer as required by the Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL). You have the right to withdraw your consent and deregister your account at any time.
